How Traveling Can Boost Your Creativity

We have already talked about how travelling can make you a better person, but today we would like to get a closer look at a different benefit of travels we did not mention before – creativity. You get out of your comfort zone By stepping out of the environment you know you step out of the safe place and try something that may seem scary or intimidating. Nothing can make your imagination work better and your creativity become greater than doing something new, even if it is scary at first. You meet new people And they usually have different point of view and different ideas to yours. Discovering how other people work and think, listening to their opinions and seeing the world from their perspective is a perfect source of inspiration. You change your surroundings And there is nothing better to make you think bigger than expanding your horizons. You see new places, new buildings, new art, nature you have never gotten a chance to take a glimpse at and everything becomes more colorful. Sometimes …

Travel Industry in 2006 and in 2016

Nowadays a decade is a lot. After all, over the span of 10 years we went from basic mobile phones to smartphones! Such impressive changes happened also in the the online booking industry. Early 2000’s were the time when the Internet only just began being popular, so all of the internet-based companies, also travel companies were only at the beginning of their way. So what exactly has changed in the last 10 years? Let’s start with the obvious – the Internet. It has become incredibly popular over the past 10 years. World Record Breaking Travel Destinations

Any place can be incredible, but some have that very, very special something. And we mean world record breaking something. Today we want to talk about a few of the world breaking destinations from all around the World!   Smalles Country This title goes to the Holy See – The State of Vatican City. It is located in Rome and takes up the area of only 0.44 square kilometres. However entering the country is not easy, because The Vatican is not open to tourists. The only parts tourists can visit are the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Basilica. You can also go on a guided tour of some gardens.   The Narrowest Street If you’re any like us you love tiny little streets where you can get wonderfully lost, but the Spreuerhofstrasse in Reutlingen, Germany, may be to little, even for us. Only a foot wide at its narrowest point it is rather a dificult path to take!   Oldest Restaurant We can’t forget about food. Restaurante Botin is the world’s oldest restaurant and it …

Bidroom.com Implements Support of Cubilis Channel Manager

On 16th of August, 2016 we have announced the integration with Cubilis Channel Manager. It’s the first channel manager that we support, but we already started the process of implementing support of more channel managers.   “Cubilis is the major channel manager on the markets that Bidroom.com is popular with, that is in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Bidroom.com cooperates with 276 out of around 1600 hotels in the Netherlands, our platform’s homeland” – says Michael Ros, our CEO. “The popularity of this channel manager was the determinant of our decision to make it the first channel manager we support” – Ros continued.   Channel managers allow hotels to manage their bookings from different OTAs, travel agencies, as well as their own websites, all in one place, which makes it a very popular tool among the managers. For users, it means that they won’t have to wait 24 hours to confirm the bookings they make for the hotels using the channel manager.   “The addition of channel managers support was one of our …
