Best destinations for Spring in Poland
Poland is a beautiful country all year round, but there is something about Spring that makes it unusually beautiful. And since the “long weekend” is coming up in this gorgeous country we want to introduce you a few ideas for a spring tour around this wonderful country.
Tatry
The highest mountains of Poland are by many considered the most beautiful ones. Not only there are many beautiful towns in the area of the Tatra Mountains (especially Zakopane, which attracts tourists 365 days a year), but the mountains themselves are absolutely gorgeous, especially in the spring when multicolored flowers are starting to blossom. Especially beautiful is Chochołowska Valley, where in May thousands of purple crocuses attract hundreds of tourists!
Kraków
One of the most beautiful cities in Poland has been delighting visitors for ages, and in the spring it takes on some extraordinary charm that makes it even more beautiful. Wawel Castle, the Vistula river, the Main Market Square and all the small streets where you can get lost are captivating and put everyone admiring them in a wonderful mood.
Gdańsk
If you prefer the sea from the mountains Poland also has a lot to offer. One of the best places on the Polish coast is Gdansk, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, together with Gdynia and Sopot, forming the Tri-City, an ideal place for the spring weekend. Not only is it ideal for enjoying the sea but also for sightseeing, since the city is full of wonderful buildings and museums. It is also one of the best places in Poland for a night out!
Sudety
Sudety are among the oldest mountains in Poland. They are located simultaneously in the territory of two states – Poland and the Czech Republic, and arc through about 300 km. These are some of the most beautiful mountains in the country with wonderful views stretching from their highest peak – Śnieżka (Snow Mountain). They are simply ideal destination for all the mountain lovers out there.
Mazury
If you love lakes or sailing Mazury (Masuria) is the perfect region to visit. With two of the largest lakes in Poland and hundreds of smaller ones, it is simply perfect for camping, swimming and as mentioned before – sailing. If you are keen to learn how to steer a boat or just need a few relaxing days by the water Mazury is the best spot for you. After all, it hasn’t been called The Land of a Thousand Lakes for no reason!
Bieszczady
Since we strongly believe, that mountains are the perfect idea for a Spring getaway we have one more option for you – Bieszczady. With many gorgeous trails, lovely little towns scattered all around and delicious food served in local restaurants it is a perfect destination for a calm, relaxing weekend away from the city. Bieszczady is definitely a perfect area for hiking if you don’t like crazy steep mountains!
Poland is an incredible country and if only you get the chance to visit it in Spring definitely do so!
