Spring is a wonderful time, and it is especially amazing in Europe. Today we decided to give you a few ideas for a trip during the month of May when the temperatures are mild and there are not too many tourists wandering the streets!
Gran Canaria, Spain

Gran Canaria has a mild subterranean climate favorable for leisure. The island is green during all days of the year, the average annual air temperature in Spring is 22ºC, and the sun is visible in the sky every day. Due to its favorable climate and sunny weather, it is simply perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun.
Amateurs of various types of water sports: surfing, sailing, diving, snorkeling and even fishing have long appreciated the great conditions of the Atlantic surrounding the Canary Islands. On the sandy and pebbly beaches, sunbathing and bathing lovers can get well-deserved rest.
The Eternal City is one of the most beautiful places in Europe, in terms of architecture, culture and of course food. While in summer the temperatures there are often very high and crowds of tourists make it difficult to sightsee, spring is simply the perfect time to visit this amazing place.

This Spanish city is probably one of the most beautiful places in its region. It is full of sand-coloured buildings and hidden streets that enchant all visitors. This city, located in the southern Spain, in the region of Andalusia, known for its warm climate, so Spring is probably the best time of the year to visit since it is already very warm but not yet overwhelmingly hot.

With such incredible buildings as the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral or the Louvre not only you can never get bored of this gorgeous city but you can also enjoy some of the best walks of your life! Spring is generally the best time to travel through Europe (at least through warmer countries) thanks to the lack of tourists and since Paris is so popular it may be the best idea to visit it before the season comes!
Second largest city in Greece and the most important city of its area Thessaloniki definitely earned a spot on our list. With some of the most beautiful beaches in northern Greece, it is a perfect destination for a Spring trip. It is the most important port in the Balkans and overall an amazing place with lots of great architecture and absolutely delicious food with eastern influences. It will most certainly not disappoint even the fussy travelers!
Porto is located over the Atlantic Ocean and the Douro River. The Old Town has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is worth to come here to see a slightly different, more traditional face of Portugal as the city is filled with history.
Porto is a marvelous port city that captivates with its warm climate and incredible sights. Since it is located by the ocean it also gives you great opportunity to relax and enjoy the sun as well as learn surfing if you prefer more active holidays!
The capital of the province of Catalonia is considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Not only is the one of the largest harbor but also a home to some of the most impressive buildings in Spain. The Sagrada Familia, the Park Güell, Palau de la Musica Catalana and many more attract millions of tourists each year. Spring gives it a special glow that makes this season the best time to visit Barcelona. And while you’re there make sure you try some of the city’s iconic dishes, after all, you can’t visit Spain without tasting its amazing food!
Last but definitely not least, we wanted to add even more sun to our list! Dubrovnik is beautiful all-year-round, and Spring makes it absolutely irresistible. Located along the Adriatic Coast it is one of the best European coastal cities. With the stunning old town and incredible blue waters of the Adriatic, it is simply a magical destination.
